5. Content Policy

Profile photos must be appropriate and non-explicit:

• • Profile photos must be fully clothed (no nudity, underwear, or sexually explicit content)
• • All parties in photos must be 18+ and consenting
• • No content depicting violence, abuse, or non-consent
• • AI content moderation is used to screen all uploaded photos
• • Photos flagged by moderation will be reviewed by our team
• • Violations may result in photo removal, warnings, or account suspension
• • You retain ownership of your content but grant Flistr a license to display it

6. Inclusivity & Non-Discrimination

Flistr is committed to providing a safe space for LGBTQIA+ individuals:

• • All gender identities and sexual orientations are welcome
• • Transphobia, homophobia, and biphobia are strictly prohibited
• • Misgendering or deadnaming will result in account suspension
• • "Chasing" or fetishizing trans individuals is not tolerated
• • Users must respect stated pronouns and identities

7. Verification & Paid Services

Flistr offers optional paid verification services to build trust:

• • Phone verification ($2.99) - SMS verification
• • Photo verification ($4.99) - Selfie with specific pose
• • ID verification ($9.99) - Government-issued ID
• • Listing boosts ($1.99/24 hours) - Featured placement
• • Premium membership ($4.99-$9.99/month) - Enhanced features

Verified status does not guarantee safety. Users should still exercise caution. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Verification fees are non-refundable once the verification process is complete.

8. Premium Subscriptions & Auto-Renewal

Premium subscriptions include the following terms:

• • Free trial period: 3 months (requires payment method)
• • Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
• • Billing: You will be charged at the end of the trial period
• • Reminders: Email notifications sent 7 days and 1 day before billing
• • Cancellation: Cancel anytime through your account settings
• • No refunds: Subscription fees are non-refundable (except as required by law)
• • Price changes: We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice

9. Location Services & Map Visibility

Flistr uses location services to connect users:

• • Location permission is required to use map features
• • Your profile may appear on the map to other users in your area
• • Location data is used for matching and filtering
• • You can opt out of map visibility in your settings
• • Your exact location is never shared (approximate location only)
• • Visibility duration: Profiles remain visible for 2-6 hours after logout (based on settings)
• • Activity tracking: We track when you're active to show real-time availability

10. Messaging & Communications

Flistr provides real-time messaging services:

• • Free users: Limited to 10 messages per day
• • Premium users: Unlimited messaging
• • Messages are stored and may be reviewed for safety and moderation purposes
• • Harassment, threats, or abusive messages will result in account suspension
• • You may receive email and push notifications for new messages
• • Deleted messages may be retained for legal compliance and safety investigations

11. Notifications

We may send you notifications through various channels:

• • Email notifications: Account updates, messages, safety alerts
• • Push notifications: Real-time messages, matches, and activity
• • Browser notifications: Enabled with your permission
• • Mobile notifications: Available on mobile devices
• • You can manage notification preferences in your account settings
• • Critical safety and legal notifications cannot be disabled

12. Privacy & Data Collection

Your privacy is important to us. We collect and process:

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

Flistr is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or safety of user-generated content. Users interact at their own risk. Flistr is not responsible for offline interactions, meetups, or any harm resulting from connections made through the Service.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Flistr and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service. This includes damages for personal injury, emotional distress, or property damage.

16. Third-Party Services

Flistr integrates with third-party services:

• • Ably/Pusher for real-time messaging
• • Email service providers for notifications
• • Sentry for error tracking and monitoring
• • Content moderation services (AI-powered)
• • Cloud storage providers for photos

These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices or performance.

17. Changes to Terms

Flistr reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or platform notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

18. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of California.
