Having issues? Here are solutions to common problems.
Flistr uses your precise GPS location to show nearby listings. If you're seeing city-level accuracy, your browser's GPS may not be working properly.
Step 1: Clear location cache
After clicking, refresh the page to request your location again.
Step 2: Check browser permissions
Click the lock icon in your browser's address bar
Find "Location" and make sure it's set to "Allow"
Refresh the page
Step 3: Enable system location services
Mac: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services
Windows: Settings → Privacy → Location
Make sure location services are ON and your browser is allowed.
Step 4: Try a different browser
Chrome sometimes has GPS issues. Try Firefox or Safari if the problem persists.
To protect user privacy and ensure accurate matching, Flistr requires your precise GPS location (not just city-level) to create listings.
Follow the steps in "Location is not accurate" above to enable GPS. Once your location is precise, you'll be able to create listings.
Why is this required?
City-level location (from IP address) can be off by several miles. We require GPS accuracy to ensure listings appear in the correct neighborhood and users can find each other accurately.
